Sri Lanka Announces Squad for ICC T20 World Cup 2024

On Thursday, May 09, 2024, Sri Lanka announces squad for ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Leg-break bowling all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga has been named as captain for Sri Landa while left-handed batter Charith Asalanka has been named as vice-captain of the Sri Lankan team. Wanindu Hasaranga will lead Sri Lanka for first time in T20 World Cup.

In Sri Lanka’s 15-member squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, the experienced batter Angelo Mathews has been added who was recently added to Sri Lanka’s T20 setup back in January 2024 after an absence of almost 3 years from this format.
