India announces squad for ICC Women T20 World Cup 2024 that is starting on 3rd October. India reached the semi-final in the previous edition of the T20 World Cup which takes place in Group A along with Pakistan. The high-voltage match of this event between Pakistan & India will take place on Sunday 6th October 2024.
Harmanpreet will lead the Indian women’s side and Smriti Mandhana will assist her as a vice-captain of this team. Vice-captain will control the top order with Shafali Verma & Dayalan Hemalatha and Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh & Deepti Sharma will also strengthen the batting line-up. Moreover, Richa is the wicket-keeper batter and Yastika Bhatia will also take in the squad as wicket-keeper.
The bowling department will be controlled by Pooja Vastrakar, Renuka Singh, Radha Yadav, Sajana Sajeevan, Asha Sobhana, Deepti Sharma, and Shreyanka Patil.
