ICC Revealed Ambassador of ICC T20 World Cup 2024
On Wednesday April 24, 2024, the ICC revealed ambassador of ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Usain Bolt from Jamaica, the greatest and fastest sprinter of all time, has been named as the ambassador of ICC Men’s T20 WC 2024. The iconic cricket event is scheduled to start from 1st June 2024 to 29th June 2024 in West Indies and United States of America.
Usain Bolt has a special connection with cricket as he grew up playing cricket in the Jamaican Island of the Caribbean and this upcoming World Cup will be of special interest to him. Usain Bolt moved his attention towards athletics from cricket and running as fast as he could when urged to try field events and track in high school by his cricket coach. He is also a very good friend of West Indies cricket legend Chris Gayle.
Usain Bolt said, “I am excited to be an ambassador of ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Coming from the Caribbean where cricket is part of life and it has always held a special place in my heart and I am grateful to be a part of this glorious event. I am looking forward to bringing my enthusiasm and energy to the upcoming T20 World Cup and contributing to the development of cricket internationally”.
On talking about love and craze of sports in the USA, Usain Bolt said, “the people of America believe too much in sports and high passion and to go into that market is big for me. Whenever the Americans follow a sport, they follow it properly and they go all in, and I feel like if they can crack into cricket then they will get into cricket the right way. The upcoming T20 World Cup is going to be wonderful if we bring energy for it like I know we will”.

Usain Bolt got retired from the sport after 2017 World Championship.
With less than 38 days to go, the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 will kick off on 1st June 2024 in West Indies and United States of America. A total of 20 countries from all continent of the world will participate in this tournament.
