South Africa Announces Squad for ICC Women T20 World Cup 2024

On 3rd September 2024, South Africa announces squad for ICC Women T20 World Cup 2024 and Laura Wolvaardt is set to lead South Africa for the first time at an ICC event.

Sune Luus is the key player for South Africa and she was the player who single-handedly guided the team to the final in the last T20 World Cup. Seasonal players like Marizanne Kapp, Nadine De Klerk, Tazmin Brits, Chole Tryon, Ayabonga Khaka, and Nonkululeko Mlaba will join the Sunne Luus in the T20 World Cup 2024.

This squad is the same as last year’s squad and few players are included in this season. The four new players are named Eliz-Mari Marx, Tumi Sekhukhune, Mieke De Ridder, and Seshnie Naidu.

Only one player set a place in the traveling reserve and her name is Miane Smith who is a 19-year-old batting all-rounder.

Preez also added that Seshnie Naidu shows the skills of better bowling in the camp and can be an X-factor in this upcoming World Cup. With the inclusion of Naidu, the bowling attack would be strengthened and will show a different result.
