ICC Announce Match Officials for Women T20 World Cup 2024
On 24th September 2024, ICC announces Match Officials for Women T20 World Cup 2024 and this panel is female-only. A total of the 13-member panel of match officials have been selected for the upcoming 9th edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 which starts on October 03, 2024, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and is hosted by Bangladesh. The panel of 13-member match officials includes 10 umpires and 03 match referees.
Claire Polosak from Australia is the most experienced in the umpiring panel who officiated matches in the previous 4 editions of Women T20 World Cups. Jacqueline Williams from Jamaica, Kim Cotton from New Zealand, and Sue Redfern from England will be appearing for the fourth time in the upcoming tournament. Whereas, Sarah Dambanevana, Zimbabwe Umpire, will make umpire’s debut in the Women’s T20 WC 2024.
Speaking about the announcement of the match officials for the Women T20 World Cup, Sean Easey, Senior Manager & Referees of the International Cricket Council said, “The International Cricket Council (ICC) is pleased to be contributing to the development of women in our sport. Announcing an all-female panel of match officials for the 2024 Women T20 World Cup is amazing.”
He further said, “Members of this panel are some of the best from all around the world and selected as the most deserving umpires for this tournament considering their recent form bilateral series and other cricket. We are very confident that they will perform a great job at this tournament and wish them the very best of luck as they supervise the top Women Cricketers of the World.”
Umpires for ICC Women T20 World Cup 2024
A total 10 umpires will officiate matches of ICC Women T20 World Cup 2024 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). 2 umpires are from England, 2 from Australia, 1 from New Zealand, 1 from South Africa, 1 from Sri Lanka, 1 from Jamaica, 1 from Zimbabwe and 1 from India.

Match Referees for ICC Women T20 World Cup 2024
Three match referees are selected by the International Cricket Council who will officiate matches at the ICC Women T20 World Cup 2024 in United Arab Emirates (UAE). All these 3 Match Referees are one each from South Africa, Sri Lanka and India.

The women’s T20 World Cup is set to start in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) which is hosted by Bangladesh from 03rd October 2024. Two warm-up matches each will also be played by the participating teams before the start of the tournament to test their strength and combination.
