On 30^th August 2024, West Indies announces squad for ICC Women T20 World Cup 2024 and Hayley Matthews will be the captain of the West Indies Women team in the T20 World Cup 2024. Deandra Dottin returned to the squad for the T20 World Cup and she decided to take retirement from International Cricket.

Shemaine Campbelle, vice-captain of this team has an ample experience along with the Stafanie Taylor. With the inclusion of Dottin, the confidence of the team touches the sky because she has played more than 100 T20I matches for West Indies and can bowl a medium pace along with a confident batter. The Captain of West Indies also touches the figure of 100 because she already played 96 games.

This team is a combination of all-round players and can contribute to both the batting & bowling department. Matthews, Mangy Mangru, and Zaida James are the key players for the West Indies Women’s team.
